Fireside Session with Emerson Health

Procure Spot founder Matthew Armour had the chance to sit down with Alicia Cook, Managing Director of Emerson Health, in the October edition of Fireside Sessions.

Matt and Alicia discussed all things procurement – how to plan one, how to run one, and how to set yourself up for contract management success. They also covered the topic of AI’s game-changing role in procurement practices, particularly its impact on government contract bidding.

Matt shared that he believed the most interesting procurement application of AI would be for governments to use AI to support tender evaluation processes.

And he had the evidence to back it up – 83% of Procure Spot clients who regularly bid for government contracts have expressed their support for such a use of AI in the tender process. This level of acceptance highlights AI’s potential to improve decision-making by increasing objectivity and reducing biases in procurement.

“With 83% of my clients backing the use of AI for tender evaluations, the momentum is clear: AI has immense potential to enhance objective, efficient decision-making across sectors. I’m eager to see how these advancements will continue to benefit both public and private spheres.”

The Fireside Session was an enlightening discussion for anybody looking to strengthen their knowledge of best practice in government procurement, particularly those in project or policy roles.
